Hello Guys, In this post I will show you How to update Beta Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on Zenfone 2 Laser ZE500KL. Recently another developer shared another Official Beta ROM and this is the first edition of ROM so maybe there you will find minor bugs. This method tested, But do it with your own risk.

• Android 6.0.1 ROM
• ADB drivers
• ADB Tool (Download all files from end of post)

Before Installing the marshmallow to your Zenfone 2 must be running on 12.8.5.222 firmware. You can check your firmware version at Settings > About > Software Version.

How to Install ADB Driver on PC for Android

1. Download Driver from below link.
2. Extract setup on your desktop.
3. Connect your device to PC using a data cable.
4. Run ADB Setup on your PC.
5. On ADB set-up, Your device shows in the list.
6. Click on Install button.
7. On installation process, it can prompt for windows Security Dialog Box.
8. Click on Install this driver software anyway.
9. Once its done, It will be shown Installation success with highlighted green check mark.

How to Update Android 6.0.1 Zenfone 2

1. Download ADB Tool and install it on your PC.
2. Download Android 6.0.1 ROM from below link.
3. Once it downloaded on your PC, Extract ADB Tool on your desktop.
4. Copy ROM.zip file on your extracted adb tool folder.
5. Turn Off Zenfone 2 and reboot recovery by pressing the Power + Volume down button.
6. Connect your device to your PC using a data cable.
7. Open Windows CMD from ADB Tool folder by pressing and hold shift Key + Right click of mouse.
8. Type Below CMD and hit enter.
9. It can take more than 5 minutes to complete. Please wait and do not disconnect your device in this task.
10. Once its done, Reboot your device normally for first boot it can take more than 5 minutes.

Done


Once the Reboot process is done, You can taste the Android 6.0 Marshmallow beta on your ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser ZE500KL. How to Install Google Play Store on Remix OS

Official Tutorial - Remix OS Beta: How to Dual Boot Windows Android as a Desktop Step by step with Snapshot. Now You can install and Run Remix OS alongside with Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10. A Remix-OS Beta version based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. Now it supported 32-Bit Process but only for Legacy Machine and 64-Bit Supported for both UEFI and Legacy machine. Jide make a tool to install it on your PC but at this time this tool only works with Windows Platform.

How to Install Remix OS Beta on Hard Drive

1. Download requirement files from the end of the post and Extract it using WinRAR tool.
2. Open extracted folder and Run remixos-installation-tool.
3. Now Select ISO file that you downloaded, By clicking on Browser button and select the ISO file.
   
4. Now make sure Hard Disk selected in Type.
   
5. Select Drive Partition (example C:/) where you want to install it.
   
6. From the end click on OK button and wait until the process has finished it.
7. Once its done, It will promote for Reboot.
8. Now your PC by click Reboot button or you can reboot it manually from Start Menu. It will ask for select Windows/Remix-OS. By using Keyword

Press special key (F12 for Dell, F9 for HP, F12 for Lenovo) while booting to enter boot menu and ensure that Secure Boot is disabled. Otherwise, it will be failed to boot Remix-OS.

How to Uninstall Remix OS

If it is not compatible with your PC or other reasons to remove it. There are very simple and easy method to uninstall it.

1. Open My Computer.
2. Navigate to the Partition directory where you install remix-OS (Example C:Remix-OS).
3. Find and Run UninstallRemixOS file.
   
    
4. It will show a popup message "RemixOS is currently installed. Remove the existing version?" Click on OK button.
   
5. Wait it to finish, Once its done. All files, delete and remove boot menu option automatically from PC.

The Jide hasnt provided officially Play Store and Google Play Services Application on the remix-OS-beta due to some reason but you can install it manually. Please Check out How to install Google Play Store and Play Services.

7. Reboot your PC.

Press special key (F12 for Dell, F9 for HP, F12 for Lenovo, Option Key for MAC) while booting and enter Boot Menu.

• Select "USB Storage Device" under boot option.
• Select either "Guest Mode" or "Resident Mode" to start Remix OS.
