CM 14 0 Nougat 7 0 for Zenfone Selfie ROM GApps


In this post I will tell you how to Install Android Nougat 7.0 on Zenfone Seifie/ Zenfone 2 Laser. This is not an official update from ASUS it is a custom ROM for Zenfone Selfie and Zenfone 2 Laser. There is minor bugs and issues on this ROM before installing this ROM, please read Working and not working features. Also check out more tutorial on ASUS Zenfone Page.

Requirement
  • TWRP Recovery Pre-Installed on Device
  • Device at-least charge 50%

Supported Devices:
  • Asus Zenfone 2 Laser ZE551KL (Z00T / Z00TD)
  • Asus Zenfone 2 Laser ZE601KL (Z011 / Z011D / Z011DD)
  • Asus Zenfone Selfie ZD551KL (Z00U / Z00UD / Z00UDH)

Whats not working:
  • Video recording not working on stock Camera but It works using Google Camera
  • Loud Speakers not working on ZE601KL model
  • SELinux is permissive

Before Update
  • Before you go to the next step please make sure backup your personal photos, Games, contract and other data. Because after update your internal storage decreases the size of storing it can fail to update or remove some files from your Android phone.
  • Make sure before update currently your device running on latest Lollipop firmware. Otherwise, it will be failed to update your device. You can also check out More Tutorials on ASUS Zenfones device

How to Install Nougat 7.0 on Zenfone Selfie/ Zenfone 2 Laser

  1. Download ROM from end of post
  2. Download GApps for Nougat ROM
  3. Copy Both ROM and GApps zip files on your device internal or external storage
  4. Power off your device
  5. Boot into recovery mode by pressing and hold power button + Volume Down button
  6. Once your device Reboot into TWRP recovery Tap on ‘Wipe", Select Advance Wipe and marks the Dalvik Cache, Cache and Data option from the list and Swipe to Wipe.

  7. Go back and select "Install", Now find the ROM file from the internal storage and flash it. Wait until its finished.
  8. Similarly, Flash GApps
  9. Once it shows Successfully Install/Complete, Go back and Select wipe, Go to Advanced Wipe and select "Dalvik Cache and Cache" and do wipe.
  10. Once its done, Reboot your device.

Hey Guys, Recently another developer shared another Nougat ROM for Moto G4 and G4 Plus. This is more stable and unofficial version of Android 7.1.1 Nougat from Silesh.Nair and it is based on CM14.1. This builds create on latest Google Android 7.1 source code with Linux 3.10.x kernel. Below you can read working features and bugs. Do it with your own risk and I am not responsible for any damage.

Requirements
  • LineageOS ROM (Download all files from end of post)
  • Pico Google Apps for Nougat
  • Bootloader Unlocked
  • TWRP Recovery

Working Features
  • Pixel navigation bar and animation
  • Full Substratum OMS theme support
  • Alarm blocker
  • Wakelock blocker

  • Double Tap to sleep on lockscreen
  • Lockscreen charging information

Not Working
  • Flashlight from quick settings needs a reboot to work.
  • Ambient display doesnt allow device to go into deep sleep mode. 

LineageOS Features
There is lots of customization available in the LineageOS like Screen dim timeout mode, Dim alpha, Double tap to sleep on the navbar, Navigation Bar left/Right handed mode Switch for landscape, Navbar slim dim, Button customization on navbar tiles, Animate dim, and the last one is my favorite Enable/ or disable nav bar.

TWRP Recovery
Before Installing the Custom ROM on your device. You have to flash custom recovery TWRP Touch Recovery on your Moto G4/G4 Plus. If you are already using Custom Recovery Go to next flash step otherwise, please use this tutorial to flash TWRP Recovery on your Moto G4 Plus.

How to flash LineageOS Nougat G4 Plus

  1. First, You have to download requirements material for the device from the end of the post. 
  2. Download Pico Gapps for Nougat from here and Choose ARM -> Android 7.1 -> Pico.
  3. Now, From your PC copy ROM and GApps zip files and paste it in your g4 internal storage using data cable/ or using wireless application for example: Share-it/ Super Beam.
  4. Unplug your device from PC and Turn off it.
  5. Reboot into recovery mode by using the Power + Volume Down button.
  6. Select Wipe > Advance Wipe > check the data, dalvik cache, catch, system and swipe to wipe it.

  7. Tap Install and find the ROM zip file and flash it
  8. Similarly, flash GApps on your device.
  9. After flashing, you should format old files from in the TWRP.
  10. Go back and select Wipe > Advance Wipe > check the data, dalvik cache, data, internal storage (optional).
  11. Now, finally Reboot your device.

Congratulation, Now you can enjoy the Android 7.1.1 Nougat Update on your Moto G4 Plus. First boot can take up to 5 - 10 Minutes. So, Please do not power off your device in this stage. Once the boot complete it will ask for WiFi or mobile data connection, Google Account etc. Fill all information if you want to access Play Store/ or Gmail Applications on your device. Cara menangkapnya sendiri cukuplah mudah, yang harus kamu lakukan yaitu menahan jarimu di atas Pokéball untuk menentukan kekuatan lemparanmu dan melontarkannya ke arah sang Pokémon.
