Tutorial - How to Update Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P3100 to Android [6.0] 6.0.1 using CandySiX ROM based on CM13. Recently XDA developers have shared another Marshmallow ROM for P3100. In preview post we also shared a Guide about How To Update Galaxy Tab 2 using CM13.



Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 is old gadget and its accompanies Android 4.4.2 Jelly bean. Lamentable Samsung stop official upgrade for this gadget. But, Now you can Update your gadget in most recent Android version Marshmallow by taking after some simple steps. Thanks to CandySiX developers who made this ROM for us. This is first update So, maybe it has some minor bugs and issues but dont worry, it will fix in new updates.

Before Install any custom rom on your device. Make a backup file using Custom recovery like TWRP/ CWM. If you have a already Custom Recovery Installed on your device. You can make a backup for stock firmware. If you dont have custom recovery installed. You can also check out How to Install Latest TWRP Touch recovery on your Galaxy Tab 2.

1. Power Off Your Device
2. Open in TWRP recovery mode by using Volume Up + Power Key.
3. Tap on Backup then Slide left to right on Swipe to backup button
4. Once the Backup Complete Copy TWRP folder on your PC/ SD-Card.

1. Power Off your Device.
2. Open in CWM recovery mode by using Volume Up + Power Key.
3. By using Volume and power key Select backup and restore then select backup to /Sdcard.
4. Once the Backup Complete Copy CWM folder on your PC/ SD-Card.

Requirement

• Download CandySix ROM
• Gapps for Marshmallow
• TWRP/CWM Recovery

How to Update Galaxy Tab 2 P3100 using TWRP Recovery

1. Download Candy-Six-Rom, Gapps from end of post link given.
2. Connect Your device with PC, and copy both zip files in your device Internal/SD-Card storage.
3. Now Turn Off your device.
4. Reboot into Recovery using Volume UP + Power button.
5. Once TWRP Recovery open, Tap on Wipe and Check the Dalvik Cache, System and Data option and swipe to wipe.
6. Once Wipe complete, Go back to main menu.
   
7. Now tap on Install, Now find Candy-Six ROM.Zip and flash it.
8. Similarly, flash GApps.
9. Go to the main menu and Select Wipe, Now factory reset your device.
10. Reboot and Enjoy.

How to Update Galaxy Tab 2 using CWM Recovery

1. Download Candy-Six-Rom, Gapps from end of post link given.
2. Connect Your device with PC, and copy both zip files in your device Internal/SD-Card storage.
3. Now Turn Off your device.
4. Reboot into Recovery using Volume UP + Power button.
5. Once CWM recovery open, By using Volume and Power Key, Select Wipe Cache Partition then select Yes - Wipe Cache.
   
6. Now Go to Advance, then select Wipe dalvik cache, then select Yes - Wipe dalvik cache.
   
7. Select Wipe data/ Factory reset, then select Yes - Wipe all user data.
   
8. Now select Install Zip then select choose zip from SD-Card, Now select ROM Zip file from the list and install it
   
9. Similarly, Install GApps on your device.
10. Go back to main menu list and select Wipe data/ Factory reset, then select Yes - Wipe all user data.
11. Once its done, the Select Reboot system now then selects Yes - fix root.

How to Install Android 6.0.1 ROM on Galaxy Tab 2

Hello Readers, Welcome to Techno Planners. Today We are sharing Best stable ROM for galaxy tab 2 7.0 P3100/P3110. Lots of Galaxy tab users search on Google best custom and stable ROM for there device. But they are unable to find correct ROM. I tried lots of ROM and every other ROM just lagged and was slow after usage and all games and apps not support or lagging problem. This ROM i use for 2 months and its the best so far. So, Today i am sharing SlimKat Android 4.4.4 Build version 9 that is the best ROM for galaxy tab 2 and the gaming permanence is smooth no lagging issue find. Recently We are sharing a Updated Tutorial about How To Update Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P3100 To 6.0 Marshmallow.

Tutorial - Samsung will not announce officially marshmallow update. There are a lot of XDA developers who make custom ROMs. With Custom ROM you can update Android 6.0 Marshmallow on Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P3100 with CM13. CM13 based on Android 6.0.x. This is not official Update. So, before Installing ROM, you have to flash Custom recovery like TWRP/ CWM on the device.

CM13 Android 6.0 Short detail
CM13 smoother and faster in use. So, you can quick access any application and game. Multi Window mode worked awesome, You can enable the developer option from Settings > About > hit build number seven times to enable developer mode. And the last one is the battery. Battery backup is also good like Stock ROM.

Make a full Backup
Before Updating your Tab 2, Save important data like Message, WhatsApp Chat and Contacts data in a safe place and Create a backup of your stock ROM using Custom Recovery. With a backup you can revert back to preview stage.

If you have pre-installed Custom Recovery Installed. Just Turn off your device. Now Press Volume UP + Power Button to open Recovery. Once Recovery Open, Just select Backup and Create a backup file. Once, Backup process completes Reboot your Device and Copy CWM/TWRP folder from the device and paste it on your PC.

Hotspot Little Bug
When we are testing this ROM, We were noticing Wifi hotspot not working some times while using Wifi file transfer application like Shareit and SuperBeam.

Ambient Light Sensor not Working
On This ROM Ambient sensor not working. That means you can not use Auto Brightness feature. You have to manually adjust brightness according to your requirement.

Auto Rotate Limitation
Auto Rotate feature not working on Home Screen and App Drawer.

ROM Status on Testing
This ROM status under testing. So device will automatically reboot causing of out of memory.

CM13 features
In CM13 ROM have lots of features like Multi Window Mode, Wifi and Bluetooth Worked fine, CM13 pre rooted you can enable it from developer mode, Smooth and fast performance.

Battery Backup
Battery Performance is much better if we compare to Lollipop update. On Lollipop, battery can not run more than 10 -12 hours, but In Marshmallow Update battery can run more than 24 hours.

How to Update Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P3100 To 6.0 Marshmallow

In this Tutorial we will teach you How to Install Cyanogenmod 13 Android 6.0 ROM on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 P3100/P3110 using team win recovery project custom recovery. Google Release Android 7.0 N Developer Preview for Nexus device and We are upgrading our TAB in Android 6.0 [6.0.1] Marshmallow custom ROM, hehe. In upcoming months we can use the Android N custom ROM for Tab 2. Because Cyanogenmod 14 upcoming in couple of months. So, Now We are back to our topic. Before updating your device in Marshmallow OS you have to Install Custom Recovery Like TWRP/CWM. We recommended to use TWRP recovery for Installing this ROM. If you have pre-installed Recovery on your device you have to skip this step and process to the next step. • Android Marshmallow ROM
• TWRP/CWM Recovery
• Battery at least 60% Charged
• 3GB device Internal Storage free for Make Stock firmware Backup (You can skip)

Before Installing Custom ROM/ Ubuntu OS on any Android device. We recommended to make a backup of your stock ROM. Because, If the device not stable with Custom ROM or other issues. You can revert your device in old stage easily with this Backup.

1. Power off your device.
2. Boot into Recovery by Pressing Volume UP + Power Button at the same time.
3. Click on Backup Button and Swipe left to right on swipe button.
4. Once it Done, Save TWRP folder on your PC/ SD-Card.

2. Boot in recovery mode by using Volume Up + Power Key.
3. Select backup and restore then select the backup to /SD card.
4. Once its done, Save the CWM folder on your PC/ SD-Card.

How to Update using TWRP Recovery

1. Download ROM and GApps from end of post link given.
2. Connect the device with PC, and copy both zip files in your device Internal/SD-Card storage.
3. Turn Off your device.
4. Reboot into Recovery using Volume UP + Power button.
5. Tap on Wipe and Check the Dalvik Cache, System and Data option and swipe to wipe.
   
6. Once Wipe, done.
7. Tap on Install and flash ROM and GApps on the device.
8. Only for P3110 Download and flash Google Keyboard App
9. Once flash done successfully, Select Wipe and factory reset your device.
10. Reboot and Enjoy.

How to Update using CWM Recovery

1. Boot into CWM recovery, By using Volume UP and Power Key
2. Select Wipe Cache Partition then select Yes - Wipe Cache.
   
3. Now Go to Advance, then select Wipe dalvik cache, then select Yes - Wipe dalvik cache.
   
4. Select Wipe data/ Factory reset, then select Yes - Wipe all user data.
   
5. Now select Install Zip then select choose zip from SD-Card, Now select the ROM Zip file from the list and install it
   
6. Similarly, Install GApps on your device.
7. Only for P3110 Download and flash Google Keyboard App
8. Go back to main menu list and select Wipe data/ Factory reset, then select Yes - Wipe all user data.
9. Once its done, Select Reboot system now then selects Yes - fix root.

Note: - First boot can take up to 20 minutes for making cache files. So Please keep patience.
