While the new that Whatsapp is ending support for Blackberry, Nokia and old Android/iOS devices come December, the Facebook-owned company is forging ahead with the development of the IM app for the devices still supported.
What I am trying to tell you essentially is that there has been an update for Whatsapp for Android and iOS, and while both have different version numbers (version 2.16.229 for Android and version 2.16.8 for iOS), the new update for both platforms comes with a new feature that is overdue;Voicemail.
When Whatsapp added the Voice Call feature for its app on all mobile platforms in 2015, there was a lot of excitement because the feature wasnt a common one in the mobile app world. Though the feature has been useful,there are times when you feel that it should be improved upon, particularly because the Voice Call feature is only useful when the second party is online.
That is exactly what voicemail is coming to fix in Whatsapp. Thanks to it, you can now leave a voice message when a Whatsapp call to a user is not picked or answered, as opposed to the norm of leaving a text message in the same situation.
How to use the Whatsapp Voicemail Feature
When your Whatsapp call to a user is not answered, you will be presented with three options: Voice Messages,Call Again and Cancel. You already know what the last two options are used for, its the first one were concerned about here.
To utilise the Voicemail feature after a Whatsapp call is not answered;
*.Select the Voice Messages option from the three options.
*.Tap and hold the voice Message button to start recording your message (voicemail).
*.When youre done recording your message, release theVoice Button to send it, or swipe to the left to trash it and record another.
The message you record would be sent to the user as a voice note (VN). Considering the series of new features that are being released to Whatsapp almost weekly, the Whatsapp Video Call feature that has been in the rumour mills for some time doesnt seem to be far from us anymore.

How to Use fingerprint as home key
- First download fingerprint gesture APK file from the end of the post link given in red highlighted color.
- Now, Copy APK file in your device using a data cable or wireless file transfer applications.
- Simply install APK
- Once its installed, Go back
- Go to Phone Settings > Accessibility > Choose Fingerprint Gestures and switch on.
- Open Fingerprint Gestures application from your App drawer
- Now Enable Fingerprint Gestures
- Now Tap on Single TAP option
- Select Home option from navigation button
- Done, Now you can use a fingerprint sensor as home button key.
You can use fingerprint with lots of more options like the back button, Play Music or Pause music, next songs, etc. Also you can use double tap option for other features. How to Install N-IFY on Any Android
First, you have to install xposed App on your device. So, Download Xposed Apk and Xposed framework according to your device processes.Here is a different framework file and you needed to find the right file for your device “SDK21” refer to Android 5.0, “SDK22” refer to 5.1, and “SDK23” refer to 6.0 and higher and “arm” refer to ARM processor, “arm64” refer to 64-bit ARM processor, and “x86” refer to Intel processor.
So, since I have an ASUS Zenfone 5 which has a 32-bit intel processor and it is running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow so I downloaded the xposed-sdk23-x86.zip file.
- Copy these three files on your device and Install Xposed Apk.
- Similarly Install Android N-Ify Apk
- Once the Apk installed, Power Off your device and boot into recovery mode by using power and volume key.
- Now Select Install option and find the zip file and flash it.
- Once it flashed, Reboot your device.
- Open Xposed App from App drawer. Tap on Framework it must show Xposed framework version XX is active.
- Go to Modules, Enable Android N-Ify
- Open Android N-Ify, Tap on recent and set double tap speed to 330ms
- Tap on the status bar header. Set QS tiles to 6 tiles, you can increase and decrease it according to your device screen size
- Go back and Reboot your device
