Hurray You Will Soon Be Able To Live Stream With YouTube’s mobile App

Hurray You Will Soon Be Able To Live Stream With YouTube’s mobile App

It is no big revelation that Facebook Live as well as Twitter-owned Periscope are really in flames now, warming deliciously the desires of its consumers. The two services give just anyone the functionality to live stream… with no reservation as this has been pumping in goodies for both lately; including racking up their popularity.

Now the giant in the game has chosen to follow in the same steps taking up the challenge. We are talking YouTube here as the Google’s property has done live streaming since far back 2011, “before it was cool” as YouTube is notorious for reminding us. Yet the ugly head rearing when it comes to that of YouTube is that only special events have ever enjoyed their own live streams on YouTube.

I feel privileged to be the harbinger of good news that this will be changing “soon”. Yes, what this means is that Google will at last enable YouTube’s mobile apps get compatible with the live streaming functionality rubbing shoulders with Periscope and Facebook in terms of live-streaming. Actually I’m deserted of answers as to why it took so long to happen.

So now when this functionality gets to you, your eyes will catch the red floating action button appearing in the bottom right side of your YouTube mobile app now become a Record function (at present, it has the function of uploading already shot videos). So when you catch sight of the new button, simply click on it and you go live – well, that is after you have made a selection of a picture for the purpose of a thumbnail. You have the option of deciding who will see your broadcast, if you allow chatting, as well as if you want to dismiss notifications to your subscribers that you are going live.

While you are broadcasting live, comments will pop up on top of your video feed, just in the same fashion we have on Periscope. So when you terminate a live session, it will yet be up for grab to people in the same manner we have all of your pre-recorded videos. Mobile live streaming videos will enjoy every of the features of the regular videos, what this implies is that you will be able to search for them, and then locate them via recommendations as well as playlists, even locking then from unauthorized uses.

WhatsApp Soon To Be Blessed With Siri Support

WhatsApp Soon To Be Blessed With Siri Support

From what we are seeing, there is not much doubt that soon we will be able to enjoy Siri on WhatsApp. This means we will be able to enjoy the services of Siri as to reading and sending WhatsApp messages even up to making WhatsApp calls on iOS devices. This development is gotten from a leak – which unveils an explanation text given to users when prompted to give WhatsApp access to Siri.

Siri is Apple’s famous voice-controlled digital assistant. So far so good, Siri has recorded a juicy bout of improvement of late. This remarkable digital assistant can well fill in all kinds of tasks from making phone calls, to sending and reading messages.

Yet there was the sad restriction of its services as they were exclusively available to only a handful number of third party apps of which WhatsApp wasn’t included , that stands to change now. This change is most likely to come after the release of the iOS 10. The iOS 10 has the refreshing promise of integrating virtual assistant with third-party apps.

Though for now, we have not received any official confirmation from WhatsApp getting Siri support. But this doesn’t in any way annul the validity of the report.

You will remember that since WhatsApp acquisition by Facebook, WhatsApp has made notable development, ranging from end to end encryption the most recent voicemail feature, and of course we stand to see much more from WhatsApp in the shortest time!

SAD Nokia Won’t Be Making Phones Anymore!

SAD Nokia Won’t Be Making Phones Anymore!

Nokia’s new CEO Rajeev Suri took the stage on November 14, and mapped out the future of the Finnish telecommunications giant after its phone business got acquired by Microsoft.

First off, as sad as this sounds, and despite some unsubstantiated rumors, Nokia doesnt plan on making phones anymore. “We are not looking to a direct consumer return to handsets per set,” were his actual words. Still, there is a silver lining, and it is that there is an extremely high interest in licensing the brand, he added, so at some point in the longer term the Nokia name“will return to the consumer world.” Now,whether this will be with phones, or other devices and maybe services, remains to be seen, but the hopes that Nokia will quickly start churning out Android handsets seems dead and buried now.

As for the other aspects of the company, the CEO mentioned that it won’t have its HERE brand of navigation software compete directly with Google Maps, but instead rely on third-party licensees like Amazon,Microsoft or Yahoo, in business-to-business partnerships. We’d say that with the release of the beta app for Android and iOS this ship had sailed, as the app offers options lacking in Google Maps, like offline navigation, but what ever rocks the boat. Nokia’s CEO expects that all three business units –Networks, Technologies and the mapping business – will be returning to growth and profitability very soon, but it’s the end of the line for Nokia phones piece that strikes us the most in the end.

Be advised Uninstall Quicktime ASAP

Be advised Uninstall Quicktime ASAP

There are security flaws and bugs everywhere and we all love to blame someone: either the tech company or our innocent IT personnel. But it would look super dumb if you were the cause of your own misfortune. Recently Apple discontinued support for their app on Windows – namely QuickTime. If you were wondering what QuickTime was, then you’re probably safe – you should read on though, you might learn a thing or two; but if you do know what it is and you still have it installed on your computer, please for you own good and safety uninstall it. For the sake of learning, in one word, QuickTime is a multimedia app for Windows developed by Apple. If you were also wondering why discontinued support for an app endangers you; lemme give you a little insight into app development and support.

When an app is developed and released into the public, the onus is on the developer to provide support – ranging from answer questions to releasing updates. The same thing happened with Windows XP when Microsoft announced that they would not be providing support as from last year. Now, when an app loses the support of the developers, the app tends to do more harm than good. How? lemme explain:

When a security flaw is detected, the developers quickly get off their asses and find a way to patch it else, their customers could be open to attacks ranging from some creep spying on you through your webcam to a broke or not so broke Hacker emptying your bank account depending on how wide a hole it is.

Now with this in mind, the choice is yours: Do you choose to uninstall or do you trust your Antivirus that much? I know I don’t (nor hard feeling Avast ). Looking on the bright side, there are multiple alternatives you could try out:

*.Kodak player

*.VLC

*.Windows’ own media player… The list is practically endless. Just don’t stick to quicktime, no matter how much you love it(though I’d wonder why).
